SUMMARY

This issue publishes: “Under the Light of Darkness” — a novel by Aleksandr Melikhov, “The Happiness of Vasily the Cat Sitting on a Cloud” — a story by Gennady Novozhylov, and “Kuntzevo Patriarchy” — a story by Oleg Zobern. Also — two stories by Aleksandr Ilichevsky. The poetry section of this issue is made up of the new poems by Boris Khersonsky, Yelena Ushakova, Igor Alekseyev and Mikhail Sinelnikov.

The sectional offerings are as follows:

World Of Science: “The Apology of Mathematics” — the ending of an article by Vladimir Uspensky where the well-known scientist regards mathematics as an aspect of human spiritual culture.

Essais: “Everything Called a Bio” — notes by Mikhail Butov.

Comments: : “…I Can See Total Happiness…” — an article by Alla Latynina on the new book of prose by Zakhar Prilepin.

Literary Critique: an article by Pavel Kruchkov “The Big Chukovsky” discussing the new editions of Chukovsky’s works and books on Chukovsky published in connection with his anniversary.
